Nourish

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

Nourish is a baby feeding tracker built by an independent developer. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep things simple: your feeding data belongs to you, we never sell it, and there are no ads in the app.

Who runs Nourish

Nourish is developed and operated by Yael Schnarch, an independent developer. For any privacy question, request, or complaint, contact schnarch.yael@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account information

When you create an account through Firebase Authentication, we store:

Baby profile

Feeding sessions

Usage analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to record anonymous, aggregate events such as which screens are viewed, which features are used, and crash/error signals. These events are tied to a Firebase-generated installation ID, not to your name or email. We use this only to improve the app — never to identify you personally and never to build advertising profiles.

What we don't collect

How your data is stored

Your account, baby profile, and feeding sessions are stored in Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by Google. Firestore security rules ensure that only your authenticated account can read or write your data — no other user can access it.

How we use your data

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal effects.

Third-party services

Nourish relies on the following Google services to function:

These services are operated by Google LLC and are governed by Firebase's privacy and security terms and Google's Privacy Policy. We don't share your data with any other third parties.

Your rights and choices

Access, export, and correction

You can view and edit your baby profile and feeding sessions at any time from inside the app. To request a copy of your data in a portable format, email schnarch.yael@gmail.com.

Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app's Settings screen. Deletion is permanent: your authentication record, baby profile, and all feeding sessions are removed from Firebase and cannot be recovered.

GDPR (European Economic Area, UK, Switzerland)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, rectify, port, restrict processing of, or erase your personal data, and to object to processing or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. The legal basis for processing your account and feeding data is the performance of our agreement with you (providing the app); the legal basis for analytics is our legitimate interest in improving the app, balanced against your privacy.

CCPA (California)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

To exercise any of these rights, email schnarch.yael@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. We will respond within 30 days.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all data is removed from our active systems. Backups may persist for up to 30 days before being purged.

Children's privacy

Nourish is intended for parents and caregivers — adults — to track feeding information about their baby. The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The "baby" data you enter (name, date of birth) is information that you, the parent, choose to provide about your own child; you are the controller of that information within the app's interface.

Security

All data is transmitted over TLS and stored encrypted at rest by Google Firebase. Firestore security rules restrict every document to its owning user. Despite reasonable safeguards, no service can guarantee absolute security; please use a strong password and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

International data transfers

Google Firebase may store and process data on servers located in the United States or other countries. By using Nourish, you understand that your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, subject to Google's safeguards under standard contractual clauses where applicable.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the latest revision.
